The Greenback community is mourning the loss of Ryan Seymour, a teenage student from Greenback School.
Greenback School will be closed on Monday, January 24, 2011; please see Ryan Seymour funeral arrangements below.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
A bank account, in Ryan Seymour’s name, has been set up at Regions Bank, 6705 Morganton Rd., Greenback, TN 37742. If you would like to help the family, please make a deposit or send a check to the Ryan Seymour Fund. For people wishing to offer other forms of assistance should contact Greenback High School at 865-856-3028.
Community members have scheduled two benefit events for Ryan Seymour’s family. Bothe events are scheduled for Saturday, January 29:
A pancake breakfast from 7-9 a.m. Jan. 29 Saturday at Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill, 2564 Alcoa Highway, Alcoa
A chili supper from 4-7 p.m. Jan. 29 Saturday at Greenback School, 400 Chilhowee Avenue, Greenback. The event will also include chili supper, music, cake walks, slide show, and silent auction.
Please pass the word to others, clubs, churches, in the community. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Ryan Wayne Seymour, age 17, of Greenback, was delivered to his Savior Friday, January 21, 2011. Ryan was a much-loved member of the Greenback Community. He attended Life Streams Fellowship Church. Ryan was an outstanding football player, with his brother Richard, on the Greenback High School team. He was a passionate leader at school; lifting himself and other young men to achieve more in their lives. Preceded in death by mother, Laura Ann Seymour Heffernan; grandfathers, John Heffernan and Richard Wayne Seymour, I. He leaves behind a grieving father, Richard Wayne Seymour; beloved brother and sisters, Richard Seymour, Hannah Seymour, Rachael Bradley, and Jennifer Bradley; grandmothers, Estelle Cavaletti, Ulyne Heffernan; uncles, aunts, cousins and many dear friends. The family would like to thank the Greenback Community for their enormous outpouring of love and support. The Seymour family is humbled by those who have loved and cared for them.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 1 until 4 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. at Greenback High School.
Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Greenback on Monday, January 24, 2011, at noon. The pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be the coaches and players from the Greenback Football Team.
