The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) is warning the public about the latest salmonella outbreak. According to the Atlanta Constitution newspaper, this outbreak has resulted in more than 450 people that were poisoned and may be associated with the death of six people. “Salmonella is a bacteria and the most common source of food poisoning in the U.S., causing diarrhea, cramping and fever.”
“Officials are focusing on peanut paste, as well as peanut butter, produced at Peanut Corp.'s Georgia facility. Its peanut butter is not sold directly to consumers but distributed to institutions and food companies.”
The FDA website will furnish you with the most recent update regarding the Salmonella Typhimurium Outbreak, which is updated routinely. This includes Kellogg's and Little Debbie voluntary recalls. Complaint phone numbers, PCA stock number information, pack size and description of product are also available on the website to help identify the products.
More products are added almost on a daily basis so please check the FDA website for updates.
