County Mayor candidates: Van Shaver, podium, Estelle Herron, Glen Hagerman, Mark Matlock, Matt Brookshire.
With all the anti incumbent fervor sweeping the nation, will the tsunami wave hit Loudon County incumbents in the Sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, Register of Deeds, and Road Superintendent races? It's just a matter of days before all the votes are tallied. So far, 6080 people have cast their ballots during early voting in the primary race; mostly in the Republican Primary election.
Up for grab are the elected offices for County Mayor, County Court Clerk, Trustee, Circuit Court Clerk, Highway Superintendent, County Commission, and General Sessions Judge. The winners of the County Mayor and General Sessions Judge Republic Primary races are half way there but will still face challengers in the August 5th County General - State Primary Election. Commission races to be determined in the August 5 County General Election: District 1 Seat B, District 2 Seat A, District 5 Seat A, District 5 Seat B and District 6.
