Surplus Update Sale

At Monday's (Sept. 28th) Lenoir City Council meeting, Police Chief White reported to Council that the surplus sale raised over $45,000. It was very successful and the rain came after the sale. An auction of vehicles and equipment was held on Saturday (Sept. 26).

According to Chief White, the police department brought in $26,000, street department raised over $2,000 and LCUB about $16,000.

The mayor thanked Chief White for his and others hard work.
