Lunch was disrupted for some Lenoir City High School students between 12:30 and 1:15 P.M. Monday afternoon. Students reported hearing a fire alarm followed by a regular fire drill. Students and personnel were asked to leave belongings and evacuate the building to the lower parking lot. Students were then sent to the high school stadium where they waited outdoors in the hot sweltering heat. Monday was another Code Orange Health Advisory Day .
Car riders were allowed to leave at about 2:50 P.M. Some students were provided with warm water right before they were about to get on the school bus for a ride home. Students were not told why they were evacuated but there was talk of a bomb threat scare. Emergency vehicles were dispatched to the Lenoir City High School. More to follow on Tuesday.
