Meet the Candidates

General Sessions Judge
Thursday, March 25, 6:30 PM, Annex
The Loudon County Bar Association will host a Meet the Candidates event for General Sessions Judge candidates on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 6:30 PM at the Loudon County Courthouse Annex. All five candidates for the position are expected to attend.
The candidates will make brief introductory remarks and engage in a question and answer session. Questions for the candidates will be pre-screened to ensure compliance with the Tennessee Code of Judicial Conduct.
This event is open to the public and everyone is welcome. To submit a question for the candidates or for more information, please contact Ashley H. Tellico Village - Meet the Candidates
April 8, Thursday, 6:30 PM
TV Community Church Christian Learning Center
The Tellico Village Home Owners Association will hold a Meet the Candidates forum for the Loudon County primary election. The forum is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 8, 6:30 PM at the Tellico Village Community Church Christian Learning Center.
Only candidates for county mayor, sheriff, and general sessions judge will speak and all other candidates will be introduced if they choose to attend.
The schedule for the event is as follows:
6:30 - 7 p.m. Informal
meet and greet primarily for candidates who will not be speaking that evening,
but you are encouraged to attend as well. Tables will be set up for all
candidates. A table will be placed near the door for your campaign material- we
ask that no material be placed on chairs.
7 - 7:45 p.m. Formal
program begins. You will be allotted 3 minutes to introduce yourself. These
presentations will be timed closely because of the large number of candidates.
7:45 - 8:30 p.m. Questions from the audience. Note that all questions will be submitted in writing and the moderator will present them. (Source of schedule information: vanshaver.com)

This is your chance to meet and visit directly with candidates. The political event will include a meet and greet and introduction of all candidates running in the May 5 Republican and Democratic Primary Election. However questions and answers will only be poised to candidates running for county mayor.
The public is invited to contribute questions for the county mayor candidates.
Questions must be submitted to the News-Herald office by Tuesday, March 16.
